Spammers Using Google Groups to Distribute Malware & SpamAccording to anti-spam firm MailChannels, spammers are using Google Groups counting in thousands to disseminate malware and unsolicited e-mail by registering to Gmail accounts. These spam mailers subsequently set up new Groups mostly with random-looking names. Furthermore, spammers, through the Gmail accounts, send keyword rich e-mails to the spurious Group with the purpose to dump links heavy with keywords, attracting enormous visitors.
