Qatar Terrified as Malware Shoots UP 8% in Six MonthsIn the fifth volume of Microsoft Security Intelligence Report released on November 24, 2008, security researchers at Microsoft Gulf stated that Qatar has witnessed an 8% hike in malware infections during June-November 2008. Data collected by Malicious Software Removal Tool of Microsoft indicates that Trojan malware, which conceals itself as legitimate software but stealthily performs the malevolent operations, is responsible for 50% of all the useless software in Qatar.
